Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Privacy Consultant to support their Data Protection Office. The professional will ensure compliance with privacy legislation and evaluate data processing risks while collaborating with legal and security departments.

Responsibilities
Inform and advise on legal obligations stemming from GDPR and sector‑specific energy regulations.
Monitor the organization's compliance with data protection laws and internal privacy policies.
Conduct risk‑based assessments focusing on CIA principles and privacy impacts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for national and regional data protection authorities.
Lead awareness initiatives and training sessions to educate personnel on privacy requirements.
Collaborate with information security teams to implement and maintain organizational security measures.
Evaluate the privacy implications of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and business continuity plans.
Requirements
You have 5+ years of experience in providing practical GDPR advice and ensuring compliance.
You bring 5+ years of experience working within the Belgian energy sector and its regulatory context.
You're experienced in performing IB/Privacy risk assessments and DPIA.
You possess a valid DPO certificate.
You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
You're proactive and capable of working both independently and in a team setting.
You possess strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
You are fluent in Dutch with a C2 level.
Nice to Haves
Experience with the definition and implementation of organizational security measures.
Knowledge of BCM/DRP and AI privacy implications. xphnsxz
