Hello! Are you an experienced Lead Fullstack Developer based in Europe looking to grow in a team of highly skilled, top‑talent innovators while working on multiple products across industries? If so, Altar may be the right place for you.
We will help entrepreneurs and business leaders build innovative products that transform their industries, from early‑stage MVPs to disruptive satellite products. You’ll work alongside entrepreneurs and leaders like an ex‑Product Owner of YouTube, a former Managing Director of HSBC, and companies such as the award‑winning regtech startup Apiax or Coca‑Cola.
As a Lead Fullstack Developer, you will provide end‑to‑end services for demanding web projects, covering front end, back end, and DevOps.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Collaborate on all phases of the development flow: database queries, back‑end, front‑end, and DevOps, with a stronger emphasis on back‑end.
* Write unit and integration tests for both back‑end and front‑end code.
* Participate in requirement gathering and project planning rituals.
Hands‑On Experience We Need
* 8+ years of web application development experience, with robust knowledge of JavaScript‑based back‑end frameworks (Node/Express).
* Professional experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React.js, or Vue.js.
* Experience with traditional databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
* Experience writing “single‑threaded” Node.js applications.
* Experience with modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
* Fluency in written and spoken English.
Extra Experience We'd Love
* Experience writing Python or Golang applications.
* Experience with major cloud vendors like GCP and AWS.
