Location: Brussels (full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate’s profile).
Key responsibilities:
1. Systematic monitoring of EU institutions programs and call for tenders, along with early access to draft work programs and guidance documents;
2. Participation to industrial lobbying tables;
3. Strategic positioning of the company in European programs and consortia by identifying entry points and partnership opportunities with prime contractors and commercial space companies;
4. Knowledge and management of the main regulatory dossiers for the space and defence sector;
5. Drafting position paper and briefing MEPs and commissioners of relevant DGs (DEFIS).
Requirements:
1. At least 3 - 5 years experience in EU public affairs, government relations, business development or advocacy in the space or defense sector;
2. Knowledge of EU’s institutional architecture and of the main European space programs and understanding of the MFF mechanism;
3. Proven ability to influence decision makers and to build, manage and develop relational networks with high-level institutional and industrial interlocutors;
4. Fluency in English and Italian; French is an advantage;
5. Strong analytical skills and operational autonomy;
6. Ability to work in international and multicultural environments;
7. Willingness to travel frequently between Brussels and the company’s operational offices;
8. High level of professional integrity and commitment to the highest standards of transparency and ethical lobbying in the EU policy-making process (EU Transparency Register, Interinstitutional Agreement on transparency).
