The main responsibilities critical to this role:
Leads or supervises the main CAPEX projects in some EMEA countries.
Participation & elaboration of CAPEX for new bakeries with contribution to Business Case building for technical solutions, Investment amount (Process & Building) & schedule.
Preventive maintenance, CMMS, predictive programs implementations.
Maintenance improvement & optimization based on Grupo Bimbo experience to implement in all EMEA bakeries
Coordination & Support of Local Maintenance Managers in EMEA area.
Fire Prevention leadership on 5th defense-1st step.
These projects will be executed or coordinated with country team/ EMEA engineering & Maintenance department & General management in countries & EMEA.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Develops project objectives, scope, detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports. Initiation, planning, development, bidding, procurement, implementation and completion of capital projects in accordance with GB methodologies. Provides direction for departments, cross-functional teams and external vendors for project within their scope.
Elaboration of specifications (data base of project: process data, capacities, raw/packing materials, GB general & specific requirement, schedule, equipment performances) for leading of bidding.
Management and creation of budgets within project scope including all expenditure costs: equipment, transport, installation, importation taxes, building works, utilities connections, etc.
Outlines process in coordination with the local team (Production, Maintenance, Quality, Logistic, IT), process suppliers & building suppliers if necessary.
Conducts quotations/technical meetings with suppliers, quotation analysis, technical & financial comparison, final recommendation in collaboration with local team/EMEA engineering/GM.
Could have to contacts with Consultancy/local authorities to include compliance with regulation in the projects.
Supplies applicable data & participates in the Business case creation.
Places applicable orders and creates contracts as necessary.
Monitors the process and follow-ups of any studies or technical meetings with suppliers.
Suppliers/FAT visits, suppliers coordination.
Interfaces/coordination with building contractors.
Manage the follow-up´s and updates for all project within their scope.
Works with the finance department for budgets, payments, and general financial follow-ups & control.
Manage the equipment deliveries/Installation/Commissioning organization & follow-up until the final acceptances.
Maintenance improvement & Optimization in all EMEA bakeries:
Preventive maintenance program review & optimization including Grupo Bimbo experience (Stopped/unstopped controls, Balance on Maintenance schedule, implementation of simple sensors for control)
Lubrification: equipment, plan & ressources including training session
CMMS construction & optimization/Adaptation
Support on Breakdown analysis & actions plans/Connections with suppliers
Training program development for technicians
Coordination & diffusion of all ‘smart technical solutions’ in all EMEA bakeries
Support for main intervention/spare parts issues in all EMEA bakeries
Spare part optimization in EMEA : inventories, standardization, identification of saving
Potential support for ‘lines commissioning’ or ‘critical lines operational-financial improvement’
Maintenance audits in EMEA bakeries & follow-up of actions plan
Fire Prevention – 5th defense implementation & leadership
Leadership of specific projects as gas reduction program, Oven heat recovery in EMEA
For projects to be supervised, EMEA Projects manager will support local team in the construction/submission & execution of CAPEX in the proper engineering methodology: definition of scope, technical solution, budget & justification of investment, follow-up of execution/planning/budget in collaboration & support with Country projects Manager.
Education and Work History:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in and Engineering discipline.
5+ years of project management and maintenance experience.
Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines; well organized and detail oriented; but also, able to see the big picture.
Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills in English required, other languages a plus.
Proven ability to complete major projects in a manufacturing environment.
Able to interact with senior management.
Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated the ability to work well in a team and with teams in other functions.
Food industry (or another process industry) experience is preferred.
Superior work ethic, flexibility, time management and organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and high accountability.
Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams: Maintenance, QA and Operations in EMEA countries.
