Our client is a famous multinational based in Brussels. For their long term contract with the Belgian government, they are looking for an engineer that has experience in Devops/devsecops/Linux.
Job description :
You will work in the DEVSECOPS team which focusses on the automation of the software delivery chain with security embedded. Your task will be to set-up a new software build system together with the SW teams. The purpose of this new software build system is to replace the existing software build legacy systems and to integrate new functionalities (like automatic deployment on a test system and integration with the automatic testing system) allowing continuous deployment and continuous integration. All of this should come with comprehensive and up to date documentation but also includes training of your colleagues in the DEVSECOPS team so that they can maintain, adapt and support this new system together with you.
Once the new build systems are delivered you work together with the DEVSECOPS team on the following extra tasks.
These are:
* Prepare the procedures and automation for deployment of software (own development, operating systems, utility software etc.) including the necessary tools to monitor the install base
* Execute the first installation / update in collaboration with the SYS ADMIN team. Afterwards the SYS ADMIN team is responsible for the roll-out towards the other signaling-boxes.
* You are responsible to support the SYS ADMIN during the rollout in case of issues and also to collect the return of experience during the roll out so that we can constantly improve the automation and the procedures.
* Testing, documenting and implementation of new technologies and concepts: improving DEVSECOPS chain
* Second level support for the EBP software and IT equipment in the signal zones
* Regular car trips in Belgium
* Occasional mounting/assembly work of IT equipment in computer rooms and control rooms.
Must have knowledge :
* Very good knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS – Redhat) including scripting (bash)
* Proven experience in setting up of a build system for software written in C and Java using Jenkins.
* Proven experience on CD / CI.
* Must speak / understand Dutch and/or French
* Experience with working in a production environment
* Good knowledge of Jenkins
* Basic knowledge of Javascript, Python, Jfrog Artifactory
Knowledge of the following domains is an asset:
* GIT
* Puppet (open source version)
* Elastic Stack (amongst others Kibana)
* Nagios - Icinga
* Atlassian suite (Jira / Confluence / Bitbucket)
* Groovy – Maven
