Role Overview
As a Freelance Mechanical Technician, you ensure the reliability and availability of production and utility equipment at a brownfield industrial site. You work independently within your mechanical discipline while contributing to safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues independently.
* Implement improvements and modifications (MOC).
* Collaborate with operations and engineering teams.
* Maintain technical documentation and support spare‑parts follow‑up.
* Work safely and follow all site procedures.
* Participate in the mechanical on‑call rotation (every 5 weeks).
Profile
* Degree in Mechanics or Electromechanics, or equivalent experience.
* Experience in industrial mechanical maintenance (motivated junior freelancers also welcome).
* Strong mechanical knowledge (pumps, pneumatics, drives, rotating equipment).
* Knowledge of P&IDs or chemical processes is an advantage.
* Responsible, precise, independent, and safety‑focused.
* Computer‑skilled; fluent in Dutch and English.
