Join our “Credit Acquisition” squad within the Risk & Credit Tribe at BNP Paribas Fortis. You’ll help shape credit solutions that truly meet client needs - now and in the future - by bridging business insight, regulatory expertise, and product strategy.

As a Product Expert, you'll play a key role in shaping, developing and improving our mortgage or professional credit products. You’ll act as the go-to reference for both internal teams and external partners, ensuring every solution is tailored to real customer needs and aligned with regulatory and market developments.
Your key responsibilities
* Act as a product expert across the bank. Be the point of reference for product knowledge: support colleagues in development, sales and management. Work closely with the Product Owner (PO) to define features and functionalities.Translate regulatory requirements into product improvements that benefit both the bank and customers.
* Understand and anticipate customer needs. Regularly gather insights from customer research and feedback. Analyse the complete customer journey to identify pain points and improvement opportunities.
* Analyse the market and competition. Stay on top of market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour. Use insights to guide strategic decisions and product enhancements.
* Help shape the product strategy. Support the Cluster Product Owner (CPO) and PO in building a clear, forward-looking vision. Act as a connector between business, sales and strategy teams. Contribute to creating innovative value propositions — including beyond banking services — that enrich our credit offering.
* Enable effective go-to-market and communication. Assist in crafting communication campaigns across all channels (online, branch, app, call centre). Ensure legal, compliance and tax validations are complete with the help of our Centres of Expertise (COEs). Represent the product in media and professional events as a spokesperson.
* Manage pricing, budgeting and reporting. Define pricing strategies that balance volumes and margins, in line with our business goals. Build business cases to secure budgets for new initiatives. Monitor performance through regular reporting (e.g. market share, sales, profitability, sustainability).Track key success indicators (KPIs) and suggest improvements for the squad or cluster.

Profile YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES
What you bring to the team?
* Minimum 3 years of experience with mortgage or professional credit products (e.g. instalment loans, investment credits, Bonifisc, bank guarantees), including knowledge of leasing (operational/financial), factoring, and collateral.
* Strong understanding of the end-to-end credit acquisition process and its operational context.
* University degree in economics, business, law or equivalent through experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skilled in PowerPoint, storytelling, and crafting clear, engaging presentations.
* Confident in interactions with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts. Strong customer orientation and strategic mindset.
* Able to think conceptually and leverage data insights to inform decisions. Analytical and critical thinker (e.g. cost-benefit, root cause, SWOT analysis).
* Proven experience in project management, particularly in digital and agile environments. Competent in planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects. Well-organised with strong stakeholder management skills.
* Proficient in financial modelling and business case development. Advanced Excel skills for performance tracking, analysis, and scenario simulations.
* Proficient in English; fluent in either Dutch or French.
