Context
Operating as an intern within the European small cap team puts you in the middle of the action. Small caps is an interesting asset class, a big fishing pond with plenty of interesting companies to explore. To gain an understanding of how a portfolio team is working, how an equity portfolio is build up, how an investment process works in practice and to meet founders, entrepreneurs, CEO's in 1-1 meetings is a fascinating working experience.
Your position
The assessment of the quality of an investment idea, valuing companies and assessing the ESG characteristics are core parts of our investment process. The intern will get involved in updating valuation sheets, esg risk scorecards, implementing AI and other improvements in the investment process, all important pillars of the investment process of the DPAM EUROPE EQ Small cap fund. The intern will also have the opportunity to develop an investment case which is a very interesting exercise to learn to ins and outs of an equity analyst.
Your profile
* Master's degree in business economics or equivalent
* Passion for financial markets
* Basic knowledge about a p&l, balance sheet and how to value a company (DCF, multiples based,..)
* Strong numerical skills (knowledge about Excel)
