Could you be the full-time Software Developer in Charleroi we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your software development expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking teammates.
You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing software components that contribute to the success of our projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including software architects, hardware designers, and quality assurance managers, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help drive innovation in our software development processes.
You’ll specifically take care of software component design and coding, as well as testing and verification, but also contribute to software and hardware integration activities.
We’ll look to you for:
* Collaborating with software architects to elaborate software specifications and architecture
* Performing detailed design and coding of software components
* Setting up and maintaining the software development toolchain
* Specifying, designing, and performing tests and verifications for deliverables
* Managing software work products under configuration control
* Supporting software/software and hardware/software integration activities
* Staying informed of technology trends through ongoing learning and research
* Contributing to standardization by reusing or implementing reusable solutions
* Adhering to and applying established processes and standards
* Driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and process enhancements

* Engineer Degree or Master’s Degree in a relevant field
* Understanding of railway software development or vital/secure software development (desirable)
* Knowledge of software architecture and component design
* Familiarity with testing and verification processes
* Strong oral and written communication skills in English; French is highly desirable, and German is an asset
* Ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams
* Team management and leadership skills
* Experience with concurrent engineering practices
