Job Description
Company description
Kekst CNC is a global strategic communications consultancy that specialises in protecting and enhancing reputations. From 14 offices around the world, our team of over 300 professionals provides expert communications advisory informed by judgment, insight and data led analysis. We apply our Communications and Public Affairs expertise across high stakes business, financial and political matters, helping clients communicate effectively through periods of disruption, transformation and growth. We are part of the Publicis Groupe, the largest communications group in the world.
To support our growing Brussels office, we are looking for a Senior Associate to strengthen our Public Affairs team with a focus on sustainability and the energy transition.
Overview
Are you ready to take the next step in your Public Affairs career, working at the intersection of EU policy, strategic communications and sustainability? As a Senior Associate, you will contribute to client work across a broad range of well known companies and sectors, helping deliver impactful Public Affairs and Communication programmes.
Responsibilities
You will work with experienced colleagues in a fast paced and collaborative environment where your responsibilities may include:
* Monitoring, interpreting and assessing EU policy files relevant to sustainability, circular economy and climate and the energy transition
* Conducting structured research and providing clear written analysis for client briefings
* Drafting policy and communication materials including short briefings, stakeholder maps, profiles, memos, presentations and updates
* Supporting the preparation and delivery of outreach strategies to EU institutions and other key stakeholders
* Contributing to the development of communication plans and campaigns, including media audits, social media insights and narrative development
* Organising meetings, events and stakeholder engagements, and preparing agendas, talking points and minutes
* Taking responsibility for defined workstreams within client accounts and supporting consultants in project management
* Supporting business development through background research and input to proposals
Qualifications
You are someone who likes to understand issues properly and get to the bottom of things. You take ownership of your work, follow tasks through to completion and take pride in a job well done. You are reliable, proactive and able to manage several responsibilities at once. You bring curiosity and the humility to keep learning on the job, and you are comfortable asking questions to improve your understanding. You are also confident enough to suggest different ways of looking at a problem or approaching a task when you believe it strengthens the work.
You have a degree in political science, economics, law, communication or another relevant field and bring previous experience in EU Public Affairs or Strategic Communications from a consultancy, business association, NGO or EU institution. You understand the EU decision making process and have a strong interest in sustainability and the energy transition. Knowledge of related areas such as industrial policy, competition, transport or digital is an advantage.
You work well in a close knit team and communicate clearly in English. Knowledge of other EU languages is an asset. You share and act in line with our values: integrity first, critical judgment, uncompromising excellence and globally connected thinking.
Additional information
If this opportunity inspires you, please apply. We review applications on a rolling basis and may fill the position before the deadline. Please send your CV and cover letter in English no later than February 23. We look forward to hearing from you.
