About the Role We are looking for a
Senior Project Manager/Quality Manager
to lead supplier readiness for new automotive product launches across Europe. This is a hands-on role, combining
project management
with
supplier quality and process assurance, from supplier nomination through to 90 days after start of production.
The company is a
leading European automotive supplier
working with major OEMs and producing high-quality components for mechanical, electrical, and assembly applications. You will manage suppliers, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure all APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) deliverables are completed on time and to the required quality standards. This role requires up to
50% travel
to supplier sites across Europe. Days in Belgium will focus on reporting, planning, and aligning with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the full APQP lifecycle from concept to production launch Develop and maintain APQP timing plans aligned with customer milestones Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing) Monitor supplier readiness, perform audits, evaluate risks, and follow up on corrective actions Facilitate key APQP deliverables, including: PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and PPAP submissions Monitor and mitigate project risks, support production ramp-up, and lead launch readiness reviews Communicate regularly with suppliers and internal teams on progress, issues, and actions
Requirements
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent 5–10+ years of experience in
Automotive, mechanical manufacturing, tooling, or assembly line preparation Proven
project management
and
quality management
experience Supplier auditing experience (VDA 6.3 advantage)
Technical Skills: APQP & Automotive Core Tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans) PPAP & Customer Submission processes Project Management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet) Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Competencies: Strong personality, integrity, and ethics Proactive, autonomous, adaptable, and flexible Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills Risk management and problem-solving abilities
Languages: English (required) Other languages are a plus
