Purpose
Based out of our Liege office (flexible working considered), and working within a busy IT function to provide IT service and support primarily to the users and manufacturing. Responsible for 1 st and 2 nd line support with issues logged within BVIs IT support ticketing system and escalating to 3 rd line support. Issues range from application and software support to hardware and network troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide (but not limited to) 1 st /2 nd line IT Helpdesk support to the BVI users and manufacturing.
* Maintains Helpdesk tickets, prioritising work, updating steps for corrective action, and communicates with customers any timescales and progress reports as required
* Creating and updating Knowledgebase articles for end users and other IT personnel
* Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a range of hardware devices including desktops, laptops, printers, label printers, IP phones, smartphones, tablets, handheld scanners and other peripherals
* Supporting users and troubleshooting issues with a range of systems including:
* Windows 10/11 Operating Systems
* Microsoft Office / Office 365
* Windows Servers
* Veeam
* VMware
* Liaises with internal IT teams
* Other duties as required
Qualification
* Must be able to speak English and French fluently
* 3+ years working in either an application or desktop support role
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent problem solving / analysis skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Must have the ability to work well under pressure and independently
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
* Any exposure to networking systems or cyber security technologies would be advantageous
* PowerShell scripting experience would be beneficial
* Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (O365)

* Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
* Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
* Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
* Carrying heavy equipment
* May require occasional travel.
