PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION
1. The Global BIS LCIP Lead is the single point of responsibility for strategy and implementation for all data, processes and systems, to address the business requirements and challenges of the Legal, Compliance and Intellectual Property (LCIP) organisation, ensuring operational effectiveness and efficient legal operations worldwide. The individual in this role is a key strategic leader within the BIS team.
2. The BIS LCIP Lead leverages existing capabilities, enhances third party systems, and builds new capabilities as required, to automate legal operations, to improve compliance, to manage intellectual property assets, and to maximise the value of corporate data. The person in this role partners with the LCIP Leads, Technology Leads, and Service Providers to jointly define the processes, design the technology architecture, and configure the systems that are essential to deliver therapies to markets and transform the lives of patients.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
4. Establish strong relationships with all levels of the LCIP organization and with Service Providers to deliver value-added solutions that work at both the strategic and operational levels.
5. Establish governance processes, define an annual portfolio of projects, contract resources, and oversee implementation to deliver business outcomes that positively impact the effectiveness of the LCIP organization, and enhance the ability of argenx to execute globally.
6. Work with technology vendors, consultants, and SMEs to deliver business process improvements and technology solutions aligned with objectives and that add value to argenx.
7. Ensure that LCIP systems and other third-party systems operate seamlessly within a consistent technology architecture to support current processes, to address challenges, and to scale for growth and complexity.
8. In collaboration with business leads and SMEs, lead strategy, define BIS service and portfolio priorities, and contribute to the jointly defined business outcomes.
9. Maintain an overall understanding of industry landscape and the direction and strategy of the LCIP team to ensure progress on the right priorities. Understand and anticipate strategic, market, operational information and technology needs of the LCIP area.
10. Respond and communicate as both tactical and strategic issues come up with the overall set of BIS technology solutions and services that are used across Finance and connected teams, with internal and external partners.
11. Lead support services in relation with service providers, monitor SLAs, manage escalations, follow-up on issues, etc.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
12. Understanding of the industry landscape and global regulatory requirements (e.g. compliance, transfers of value, risk assessment, etc.).
13. Good understanding of one or more of the LCIP functional areas including legal operations, contract management, compliance, risk assessment, intellectual property, reporting.
14. Excellent understanding of general information technology. Technology background required, thorough understanding of systems integration.
15. Preferred understanding of one or more LCIP systems:Contract lifecycle management.Vendor risk assessment.Transparency reporting.Intellectual property management.
16. Optional understanding of third party systems including intellectual property management, helpline reporting systems, background compliance checks, etc.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
17. Experience with one or more technology solutions in LCIP.
18. Experience overseeing information services and systems globally.
19. Experience choosing the most appropriate technology solutions to meet business expectations, ensuring the consistency of the overall technology architecture with multiple systems, and integrating systems into a broad technology landscape.
20. Experience managing geographically distributed teams in an outsourced environment. Demonstrated ability to work and influence at multiple levels within multidisciplinary and matrixed organization.
21. Degree in Information Technology, or combination of degree and related experience working with LCIP that exceeds the minimum qualifications.
22. Minimum of 15 years working in technology roles in the General & Administrative space, ideally for the LCIP functions.
