As a Project Engineer Filters, you will join a passionate and skilled team dedicated to developing and sustaining advanced filtration solutions for our global customer base. You will play a key role in driving product development from the initial concept through to serial production, following the CtP (Concept to Product) process. Working in close collaboration with experts across different disciplines, you will translate technical challenges into high-performing, sustainable solutions that meet both market needs and internal standards. You will be responsible for investigating project feasibility, defining the appropriate technical concepts, and ensuring alignment with specifications and engineering best practices. You will perform design calculations, create and review technical documentation, and coordinate design-related activities with designers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders such as production, service, and quality. By following up on prototype construction, defining test programs, and analyzing test results, you will ensure that each design meets the required performance, reliability, and safety criteria. Your involvement continues after the product enters serial production, where you monitor product performance, process feedback from the field, and identify opportunities for improvement. In every step, you will act as a technical bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and service, ensuring that our filtration products continue to reflect Atlas Copco’s standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation. This role requires a balance between technical depth and practical problem-solving. You will work independently on assigned projects, while collaborating closely with colleagues across departments and locations. You report to the Team Lead Filters and will work in a hybrid setup based in Wilrijk, Belgium. You have a solid general technical background, with both theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical systems. Experience in product development or project work within Atlas Copco (CtP process) is a strong advantage. You are proactive, creative, and self-motivated, able to translate complex technical challenges into practical solutions. You are a strong communicator and team player, fluent in English, and comfortable working in an international environment.
