OT/IT Automation Engineer
12 Month extendable contract
Ghent, 3 days on site 2 days WFH.
Job description
As an OT/IT Automation Engineer (GxP - Pharma) you represent the automation discipline within multidisciplinary project teams. You will be responsible for the technical implementation of automation solutions that ensure digital connectivity of production and process equipment. You will mainly move within the OT layer (ISA-95 level 1 to 3), with close interaction with IT systems. In addition to project work, you will also support live GxP systems, including participation in an on-call service.
Responsibilities:
* Managing and coordinating the automation scope within projects
* Designing robust OT/IT architectures
* Configuring and implementing automated (computerized) systems
* Requesting and selecting hardware and software
* Developing, reviewing and executing commissioning and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ), including test plans, protocols and reports
* Solving malfunctions and performing root cause analyses (weekend on-call from 9 am to 5 pm)
* Support with deviations, CAPAs and audits
* Actively coordinate with project leaders and stakeholders
Prerequisites
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Engineering (Electronics & ICT) or equivalent through experience
* At least 5 years of relevant work experience
* Fluent in English (speaking and writing); Dutch at C1 level is a strong plus
* Demonstrable experience with OT or IT systems within a GxP environment
* Knowledge of industrial networks and architectures (e.g. ISA-95)
* Experience with GxP directives such as ALCOA+, cGMP Annex 11
* Basic programming knowledge (PowerShell, CMD and/or SQL)
* Affinity with cybersecurity and NIS2 (advantage)
* Experience with industrial automation and validation standards within the pharmaceutical industry (advantage)
