To support their growth, they are looking to recruit a Controlling Manager.The roleThe Controlling Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and delivery of key financial insights for the Business Unit (BE/NL). This role involves managing financial reporting, sales and marketing investments (A&P), fixed costs (opex), and delivering accurate and transparent financials. Additionally, the Controlling Manager drives forecasting and budgeting processes, analyses financial performance, and provides actionable insights into strategic decision-making.Key responsibilities1. Monthly Closing, Forecasting & Reporting:Prepare, coordinate (with corporate and local departments), and deliver BU’s monthly closing, forecasting, and budgeting exercises.Analyze monthly closing results and ensure accuracy of financial reports.Process and challenge forecasting and budget exercises throughout the year.Explain, justify, and report financial results to the Management Team and Corporate teams.Focus on year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.Provide alerts in case of significant gaps between forecasts and results, and raise recommendations to the BNL management team.2. Financial Reporting & Analysis:Control, follow up, and report on key financial activities across the BU.Deliver accurate key financial metrics, including sales, marketing investments (A&P), fixed costs (Opex), and ensure overall P&L accuracy.Lead the preparation of monthly business reporting presentations and drive the business reviews with local management team.3. Operational Support & Business Partnership:Act as a finance business partner and co pilot to the business, providing recommendations to support value creation (e.G. pricing, mix optimization, negotiations, and gap closing action plans).Provide strategic advice on the business and implement performance drivers.Improve processes, tools and insights to drive better decision-making.4. Internal Control & Compliance:Support the external audit and ensure compliance with corporate financial policies.Ensure all financial processes are aligned with corporate policies and external regulations.Maintain close collaboration with Cluster and Global Market Finance teams for alignment across processes and financial systems.5. People Management:Manage, coach, and develop the controlling team.Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment while supporting individual development.ProfileTo succeed in this role, the new hire must adopt a proactive, hands-on and engaged mindset. This presents a significant opportunity to leave a lasting impact.Master’s in finance or economicsMinimal 7 to 10 years of experience in Finance, ideally within finance operational experience within a commercial environment.Broader finance experience in supply chain, production, external audit is a plus.Good understanding of accounting principles, FP&A and controlling.Exposure to a product-driven environment is required.
