We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist Europe (Senior) to join The Cotton Group S.A. in Waterloo.
This is a unique opportunity to lead payroll across multiple European countries while supervising a Payroll Officer dedicated to the Benelux region. If you’re looking for impact, responsibility, and growth – this role is for you!
What you will do
✅ Oversee and support the Payroll Officer managing Belgium, the Netherlands & Luxembourg
✅ Lead and coordinate payroll operations across several European entities (Germany, Spain, Italy, etc.) with local providers
✅ Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of payroll & statutory declarations
✅ Be the go-to contact for payroll providers, social secretariats, and auditors
✅ Consolidate and validate payroll data (benefits, absences, bonuses, etc.)
✅ Provide payroll reporting & insights for HR and Finance teams
✅ Keep up with legislation updates and ensure compliance across countries
✅ Contribute to exciting HR projects: digitalization, HRIS migration, process harmonization
What we’re looking for
🎓 Degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or similar
💼 7+ years of experience in payroll, with strong expertise in Belgium and exposure to European payrolls
👥 Experience supervising or coaching a team member is a plus but not required
⚖️ Strong knowledge of Belgian social & tax regulations; European knowledge is highly valued
🛠️ Hands-on experience with payroll systems / HRIS (SD Worx, ADP, SAP, Workday, …)
🌍 Fluency in English & French (other European languages are a plus)
