We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Senior Kafka DevOps Engineer to join our team.
This role is crucial for designing, deploying, and managing scalable, real-time data streaming solutions utilizing Confluent Kafka and Confluent Cloud platforms. infrastructure and data pipelines.
Missions
Kafka Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, and deploy robust Kafka clusters to support high-volume, real-time data streams across diverse environments. Implement and support Kafka for messaging and streaming solutions, covering installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Automation and CI/CD: Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines primarily using Azure DevOps (Repos, Git, Pipelines). Develop and maintain essential automation scripts using Bash (with Python knowledge as a plus).
Infrastructure Management & Cloud: Manage and configure Ansible for comprehensive infrastructure automation. Deploy and manage applications and infrastructure across AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
System Reliability & Security: Work extensively with Linux commands and handle critical system administration tasks. Monitor platform health and rapidly troubleshoot issues utilizing tools like Splunk. Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security across all environments.
Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with development and operations teams to elevate platform standards and improve delivery processes. Design and accurately document architecture and deployment diagrams for all solutions. Stay current with advancements in the Kafka ecosystem and DevOps tooling best practices.
Profile
Proven, hands-on experience working with Kafka in large-scale, production environments. You must have a strong understanding of Kafka architecture, internals, and ecosystem components, with specific expertise in Confluent Kafka and Confluent Cloud.
Expertise in Azure DevOps (including Repos, Git, and Pipelines). Strong scripting skills in Bash are essential, and knowledge of Python is highly desirable. Proficiency in Ansible and Linux system administration is required.
Hands-on experience with cloud deployments across both AWS and Azure. Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible is expected.
Familiarity with a variety of DevOps tools, including GitHub, Nexus, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Splunk. Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. A solid understanding of cloud and DevOps security best practices.
Must be self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are critical
