Elevate the European Tax and Accounting experience by becoming a pivotal part of the Wolters Kluwer product design team in Hasselt or Mechelen. We're looking for a seasoned User eXperience Designer whose expertise turns intricate challenges into intuitive solutions while collaborating in a diverse international team. Your mission will be to immerse yourself in our customers' journeys, comprehensively mapping out their workflows while staying ahead of the dynamic trends in the Tax and Accounting industry across Europe.
About our team:
Your role will be to seamlessly incorporate new features and innovations into our central European product platform. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, other designers, and user researchers to ensure our solutions not only meet but exceed the needs of our customers. Your focus will be on user-centered design, driving forward the integration of our diverse European business offerings into a cohesive and user-friendly experience. You will report to the Head of Product Design Tax and Accounting Benelux.
You will:
1. convert complex business and customer requirements into actionable strategies and turn these into useful and usable strategic deliverable and designs.
2. communicate complex problems and their solutions in a clear and convincing manner adjusting to your audience.
3. promote the necessity of user research, discovery, and a lean approach to product development.
4. collaborate with user researchers to gain insights and translate these into viable solutions.
5. conduct usability testing to validate the solutions your team has found.
6. coordinate with stakeholders across disciplines and country borders to ensure transparency of your work and create consensus.
7. drive the efficiency of the design process in your own team and impact the way of working across other European design teams.
This position requires some domestic and international travel to meet with customers and stakeholders, up to 10% of your workdays.
You are:
8. highly skilled in finding simple design solutions to tricky workflow problems.
9. familiar with a variety of research methods and can promote the right approach for the right context.
10. experienced in collaborating in cross-functional and international teams.
11. deeply familiar with concepts like Lean Product, Lean UX, User-Centered Design, Jobs to be Done, etc.
12. fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
13. an expert in using common design tools such as Figma.
14. Comfortable with taking initiative in an agile corporate context.
