Nitto Belgium was established in 1974 in Genk and is the largest production site in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) of the Japanese Nitto Group. With more than 500 employees, we develop and produce sealing materials and various industrial adhesive tapes such as double-sided tapes and surface protection tapes for industries including automotive, semiconductor, furniture, paper production, aerospace, and metal processing
Our Position
At Nitto Belgium, we are not looking for a traditional buyer, but for a technically grounded negotiator who thinks strategically and delivers real commercial impact. As a Buyer, you support production and other departments in the procurement of technical investments, assets, and consultancy services, where negotiating, challenging stakeholders, and value creation are central.
The Buyer’s responsibilities include:
1. Leading complex commercial negotiations with suppliers on pricing, contractual terms, risks, and warranties
2. Acting as a strategic sparring partner for internal stakeholders (engineering, production, management)
3. Analyzing technical files and translating them into strong commercial purchasing strategies
4. Building and maintaining supplier relationships, supported by clear KPIs and performance follow-up
5. Contributing to Material & Supplier qualification (MSQ), audits, and the further professionalization of procurement
Your Profile
A strong Buyer recognizes themselves in the following:

Strong commercial ambition; extensive professional experience is not required An engineering degree or equivalent technical background You gain energy from negotiations and from defending commercial positions You strive for the best possible outcomes in negotiations The Buyer drives end-to-end value delivery and continious improvement across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle. Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English is required
