Medior DevOps Senior Solution ArchitectJob Purpose:Investigate, analyze, and document business functions, processes, or information methodically.Define architecture requirements and create viable specifications for process and system improvements.Manage architecture-related communication within the IT organization.Maintain the system architecture baseline.Create and communicate designs and detailed system functional specifications to guide the development of integrated solutions.Deliver guidance on the development and modification of solution components, ensuring compatibility with existing and planned components.Autonomy:For small and medium-sized projects: Work autonomously with substantial personal responsibility.For large projects: Work under general direction within a clear framework of accountability.Report to DevOps Director Architecture.Scope:Global, with indirect responsibility and accountability.Responsibilities:Work on relationships with people responsible for architectural standards and communicate important trends and news.Seek contributions from stakeholders and cascade them effectively to peers.Analyze public events regarding IT architecture and flag them with respective team members.Lead the definition of solution architecture deliverables in small to medium-sized projects/programs.Coordinate collaboration with external service providers for system components.Apply standard methodologies for creating or maintaining architecture, programs, or applications.Document work using agreed standards, methods, and tools.People Management:May supervise project completion and contribute to employees’ professional development.Coach architecture peers and team members, contribute to reviews and knowledge sharing, manage progress on tasks, audit results, and outcomes.Coach development teams on design, performance, tools, and standards.Experience:At least 8 years of IT experience, with 5 years specific to IT Architecture.At least 3 years of experience with formal software engineering methods (e.g., PRINCE2 / Agile).At least 3 years of experience with enterprise application integration and related patterns.Proficient knowledge of Business, Applications, Integration, Data, Security, and Technology Architecture patterns.Experience leveraging tools and managing non-direct reports to achieve results.Proven ability to work in a global, multi-cultural, multi-functional environment where consensus is critical for success.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Skills:Analytical skills: Recognize cause and effect patterns, think systematically, and determine logical consequences.Conceptual thinking: Understand underlying issues and relate similarities between situations using concepts, models, or previous experiences.Customer Focus: Demonstrate high priority for customer needs.Seeking Information: Identify information gaps and select appropriate sources.Forming Relationships: Develop good working relationships with internal contacts.Teamwork: Contribute actively to team goals, promoting shared values and mutual respect.Planning & Organization: Plan and organize tasks to meet agreed standards and objectives.Education:Degree level or equivalent in IT or Business Management.Languages:Fluent verbal and written English.Competencies:Database/repository design: Maintain and apply specialist knowledge of database concepts, object and data modeling techniques, and design principles.Requirements definition: Facilitate scoping and business priority-setting for change initiatives.Solution Architecture: Use tools to contribute to systems architectures development.Systems Design: Recommend/design structures and tools for systems meeting business needs.Systems Integration: Design and develop specifications for integration components and interfaces.Technical: Maintain knowledge of technical specialisms and provide detailed advice regarding their application.
