Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst for the DWHR Reports Rationalization project within a retail client in Belgium.
The Business Analyst (BA) will play a central role in analyzing, validating, and rationalizing the existing reporting landscape across Operating Units (OUs). The BA will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Data Analytics teams, and technical teams to ensure SAP BO reports are evaluated, streamlined, and aligned with the future EDWH (Enterprise Data Warehouse) and Power BI-based reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Report Inventory, Understanding & Enrichment
* Collect, review, and validate metadata for existing SAP BO iRAP local reports
* Perform enrichment of initial report batches as outlined in the DWHR Report Rationalization Playbook (to be shared later)
* Map report owners, usage patterns, data sources, universes, SQL scripts, KPIs, and consumers
Report Rationalization Analysis
* Apply the Rationalization Framework: Retire, Replace, Refactor, Rebuild
* Conduct relevance analysis based on:
* Active users, business process alignment, usage patterns and technical dependencies
* Use similarity matrices, lineage, and clustering logic to group reports logically
* Facilitate working sessions with business teams to finalize rationalization decisions
Business Workshops & Stakeholder Engagement
* Lead business workshops to review enriched group/batch inventories
* Align with OU business leads, coordinators, and functional stakeholders
* Understand requirements and validate recommendations
* Document business expectations and playback validated outcomes
Requirements Gathering & Wireframing
* Gather functional requirements for target Power BI reports and KPIs
* Collaborate with stakeholders to create wireframes for new or consolidated reports
* Ensure alignment with semantic models, business process flows, and future-state data architecture
Lineage, Metadata & Data Modeling Support
* Work with technical teams to compile end-to-end lineage from source systems → DWH views → reports
* Validate mappings for facts, dimensions, metrics, and calculations
* Ensure metadata accuracy for Collibra updates (report catalog, SQL view catalog)
Support Estimation & Planning Activities
* Contribute inputs to rationalization and realization estimation models (effort/complexity classification: S/M/L/XL)
* Validate complexity drivers such as:
* Pages/tabs
* KPIs
* Transformations
* Visual types
* Modeling requirements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Migration Accelerator teams (metadata extraction, automation output validation)
* Data modeling teams (fact/dimension design alignment)
* Power BI developers (visual mapping, DAX needs)
