JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our service is to bring assistance with a Consultant, in the context of large-scale energy infrastructure programs involving offshore grid development and complex multi-stakeholder environments requiring advanced schedule management practices.
The Key responsibilities expected from our on-site delegate might include:
- Create, validate and challenge the schedule management approach together with Program Managers and PM Officers
- Elaborate the scheduling requirements to be imposed to EPC contractors
- In collaboration with the PM Officer, define schedule reporting within the program reporting framework
- Participate in challenging the existing program Work Breakdown Structure to ensure a solid basis for schedule and budget construction
- Ensure synchronization between schedule and budget planning, including alignment with payment milestones
- Track interface milestones in accordance with the interface management approach
- Gather EPC contractors’ and internal schedules and consolidate them into the Integrated Master Schedule
- Oversee interfacing between stakeholders’ input schedules and ensure correct linkage of tasks across parties
- Organize the necessary meetings to collect scheduling inputs
- Continuously challenge the scheduling inputs
- Communicate and report schedule risks to the Risk Manager
- Propose mitigation measures
- Apply techniques to estimate schedule durations and variances
- Perform schedule analysis and reporting
- As part of change control, perform schedule analysis for requested program changes
- Properly document change analysis, including creating simulation versions of the program schedule
- Establish a framework for schedule management, including schedule levels, calendars, progress measurement, baselines and change management
- Establish the methodology to consolidate contractors’ and internal schedules into the Integrated Master Schedule
- Document the schedule management approach in a Schedule Management Plan
- Set up the scheduling structure within tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
- Apply approved change requests to the program schedule and properly archive baselines
Profile:
- Strong expertise in MS Office, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
- Proven knowledge of infrastructure projects, particularly in engineering and construction environments
- Solid understanding of PMI/PMBOK project management methodologies
- Advanced expertise in schedule management techniques and methodologies
- Experience with high-voltage transmission and offshore projects is an asset
- Proactive mindset with strong communication and teamwork capabilities
- Strong interviewing skills to gather and critically assess scheduling inputs
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); Dutch and/or French are a plus
- An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus (extra-professional or extra-academic as well)
- Immediate availability is preferred
- Valid single permit for non-EU citizens
