We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Expert to join our team. As a Data Governance Expert, you will play a key role in strengthening our data governance capabilities and improving the quality of our data.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to lead our data governance initiatives. You will work closely with internal teams to identify requirements, conduct regular audits, and prepare reports for management.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Define and implement data quality policies and frameworks
* Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify requirements
* Conduct regular audits and prepare reports for management
* Continuously evaluate and improve policies and frameworks
Data Quality Strategy and Governance:
As a Data Governance Expert, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust data quality strategy that aligns with our business objectives. This includes defining and implementing data quality policies and frameworks, collaborating with business and IT teams to identify requirements, conducting regular audits, and preparing reports for management.
Data Quality Control, Analysis, and Remediation:
You will also be responsible for establishing KPIs and dashboards to monitor quality, analysing anomalies and inconsistencies across systems, coordinating corrective and preventive actions with IT and business teams, managing incidents and remediation efforts, and documenting processes and corrective actions.
Tools and Technologies:
We use a range of tools such as AB Initio and Qlik Sense, and we expect our Data Governance Expert to stay current on new technologies and participate in tool integration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Master's degree in data, management, or related field
* 6+ years' experience as Data Quality Analyst or Data Governance Analyst
* Expertise in SQL and data quality management tools (AB Initio, etc.)
* Proficiency in SQL or another scripting language (Python)
* Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and ETL principles
* Understanding of BCBS 239 and data regulations
* Experience with data visualization (Qlik Sense)
* Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
* Fluency in English; good command of French and/or Dutch is a must
