Position Overview
We are seeking a Medecin Chef de Service en Psychiatrie to lead our adult psychiatry department, which includes a 30-bed inpatient service and outpatient psychiatric activities (excluding psychogeriatrics).
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the hospital's strategy by proposing coherent care systems aligned with institutional projects, health policies, and patient needs.
* Implement the service project and oversee its execution with the psychiatry team to achieve set objectives.
* Define, organize, and manage internal operations for efficient patient care.
* Ensure quality and safety in psychiatric practices.
* Collaborate with management on resource allocation and skills planning.
* Establish indicators to monitor resource-activity alignment.
* Promote continuous quality improvement focused on patient care.
* Enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and interface with other hospital services.
* Strengthen the service's reputation through strategic relationships internally and externally.
* Develop centers of excellence aligned with institutional projects.
Candidate Profile
* Medical degree recognized in Belgium with an INAMI number in psychiatry.
* Interest in interdisciplinary work and autonomy.
* Strong interpersonal skills: listening, flexibility, dialogue.
* Proactive mindset.
* Management experience in psychiatric services or training in management is advantageous.
* Managerial skills are essential.
Offer
* Start date: as soon as possible.
* Workload: minimum 80% (equivalent to 4 days/week).
* Independent contractor status with attractive remuneration.
