The GL Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for various general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and participation in projects. Working for a fast‑paced, international company offers a full‑breadth accounting experience.
Responsibilities
* Perform monthly activities such as processing journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
* Manage specific accounting system sub‑ledgers and inventory accounting.
* Assist with documenting and updating processes and procedures (including Desk Level Procedures).
* Evaluate ways to leverage systems to improve existing processes and procedures.
* Assist with completion of internal and external audits.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of experience within an accounting organization and close activities.
* BA/BS in accounting and background in GL accounting.
* Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle: purchasing, accounts payable, order management, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, inventory cycle.
* Knowledge of BE‑GAAP and/or IFRS.
* Experience with SAP accounting system.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Fundamental and working knowledge of accounting principles and inventory accounting.
* Experience in a fast‑paced/high‑growth environment, able to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
