Programme Manager - Europe



Job Description


As Programme Manager - Europe, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of multiple digital projects. You will be tasked with identifying, planning, and coordinating digital technology initiatives, ensuring they align with business objectives and are executed successfully. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage complex project lifecycles, guide teams in translating business requirements into effective solutions, and drive digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing digital transformation projects within complex matrix environments, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. You should be structured, possess a solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies, and be capable of leading diverse, virtual teams.


Key Responsibilities



Programme & Project Leadership

* Develop and execute comprehensive program plans, defining scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
* Ensure program objectives align with the company's strategic goals.
* Oversee the lifecycle of digital projects, ensuring successful execution from inception to completion.


Team Management & Stakeholder Engagement

* Lead and mentor a small team of project managers, setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including executives, clients, and project teams.
* Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities effectively, providing regular updates to all relevant stakeholders.


Risk & Resource Management

* Monitor program progress, identify interdependencies and potential risks, and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track.
* Develop contingency plans to mitigate unexpected challenges and ensure program success.
* Ensure budget compliance and secure additional resources when necessary.


Candidate Profile



Requirements

* 8-10 years of professional experience in a similar role.
* Proven experience managing large-scale digitalization programs.
* Practical experience with methodologies such as PRINCE2 and ITIL.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex international matrix environments.
* Hands-on experience working in virtual teams, including collaboration with onshore and nearshore resources.
* Experience working with EU clients or public institutions is an advantage.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with developers, clients, business analysts, and solution architects.


Languages

* English (mandatory).
* A second language (French, German, or Italian) is highly desirable.


Location & Working Arrangements

* Ideally based near Our Client's offices in Noordwijk or Brussels.
* Hybrid working model with occasional travel to the office for meetings.
