**Systems Engineer – 3 month initial contract - Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium – up to 70€ per hour**
Additional details:
* The incumbent might need to travel up to a couple of times a month to Mons
* Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this role, DV/Cosmic top secret clearance is required.
The role focuses on ensuring cybersecurity and compliance for CIS systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* CIS Security Assurance: Overseeing security of all services and ensuring compliance with policies and directives.
* Security Policy Enforcement: Advising Service Area Owners with tailored security guidance that balances business continuity and security.
* Operational Support: Collaborating with the Cyber Security Centre and other stakeholders for security operations.
* Technical Advisory: Supporting development and secure operations of networks.
* Information Security: Managing security for both internal operations and customer-funded networks.
* Risk & Conflict Resolution: Translating customer requirements into secure services.
* Coordination: Working with system administrators on security architecture and KPIs.
* Testing & Accreditation: Supporting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and the accreditation process.
Key skills and experience:
Education & Experience (Essential):
* Bachelor's degree in a related field + 2 years relevant experience, OR
* No degree, with at least 6 years of extensive, progressive experience in CIS security roles
* Experience in:
* System and network security, security architecture.
* Policy alignment, risk management, and governance.
* Communication and briefing skills.
Desirable Qualifications/Certifications:
* Cloud Certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, CCSK.
* Security Certifications: CISM, CISSP, CCSP.
* Technical Skills
* Cloud environments, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, Docker.
* Tools: Nessus, NMAP, Tanium, Microsoft Defender, Trellix ePO.
* Windows/Linux patching systems.
* Frameworks: CVSS v2/v3, IT security standards and governance models.
