Our client in Defense sector is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Advisor to join their team in Liège. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure the integration and compliance with environmental legislation, propose solutions to reduce the company's environmental impact, and promote good environmental practices through internal communication and awareness actions. In this position as Environmental Advisor, you will be reporting to the Environment Director.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Train and inform staff on environmental aspects induced by our SEVESO classification and ISO 14001 certification
* Examine environmental legislation in collaboration with the legal department to integrate it into the company's activities
* Organise periodic measurement campaigns for monitoring environmental standards
* Ensure compliance with environmental standards and operating conditions imposed on us
* Study and propose projects to reduce the company's environmental impacts in collaboration with General Services
* Prepare and provide an annual environmental report to the General Management
About you:
* Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering
* Specialised Master's degree in Environmental Management or Master's degree in Environmental Science Management
* Good knowledge of energy saving techniques and energy management
* Proficiency in English
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in environmental management
* Ability to quickly establish orders of magnitude related to techniques and energies concerned
