As we scale, we are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our finance team and support our expansion.

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our fast-growing startup in Barcelona. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial accuracy and efficiency of our operations.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will contribute to streamlining financial processes and improving the administrative backbone of a company that is transforming waste management worldwide.

Responsibilities
● Administrative management of sales, purchases, HR, and grants.
● Supervision of bank transactions and ensuring proper record-keeping.
● Accounting management and reconciliation in collaboration with our external bookkeeping firm (Spanish GAAP).
● Assist in financial closing processes and prepare financial reports.
● Support audits by gathering and organizing relevant documentation.
● Assist with tax compliance and regulatory matters in collaboration with our external tax team.
● Assist with controlling tasks and financial analysis.
● Suggest process improvements for administrative and financial operations.

Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You should be comfortable working independently, but also collaborating with different teams, bringing clarity, accuracy, and efficiency to financial processes.
Key qualifications of a successful candidate:
● 5+ years in a similar role. Startup experience is a plus.
● Higher Degree in Finance and Accounting or relevant field.
● Advanced in MS Office and proficiency in Excel skills.
● Experience with ERP Odoo is a plus.
● Professional proficiency in Spanish and advanced English.
● Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work autonomously, and excellent attention to detail.
● Ability to adapt to a growing startup environment and take ownership of key financial tasks.
