Overview
As a Financial Controller at Ciner Glass Belgium, you will play a crucial role within the regional finance team, as well as a part of the international group. In this role, you will be involved with both accounting and management reporting processes. Additionally, this position plays a key role in fostering a data-driven culture, standardizing monthly reporting and focusing on actionable insights. In this role you will be reporting directly to the head of the department in Lommel.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks
* Financial Management and Reporting
Build and assist in an effective control environment to safeguard financial information and operational data
* Build and assist in budgeting and management reporting processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, business plans and ensure alignment with organizational goals
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports
* Accounting Records and Month-end Closing
Support the implementation of relevant accounting policies, processes and controls
* Set up relevant KPI’s in cooperation with the head of the department in Lommel
* Participate in the month-end closing processes, including manual journals, accruals, etc.
* Put controls in place for active stock & material management in the ERP-system
* Solid understanding of flows in an ERP-environment and making them as lean and automated as possible in cooperation with the head of the department in Lommel
* Reporting & controlling
Provide management information related to bad debt
* Assist in the preparation of management reporting and the monthly business review
* Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed
* Provide assistance during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries in cooperation with the head of the department
* Maintain relevant financial data in a BI tool and consolidate results for the monthly business review
* Set up new controls in cooperation with the head of the department in Lommel
* Monitor price evolutions in cooperation with the procurement department
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
* A completed education at the bachelor\'s or master\'s level, in a relevant field. Knowledge of month-end closing processes as well as awareness of audit procedures and requirements.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP), BI tools such as Power BI and other manufacturing related software solutions would be a bonus.
* A hands-on mentality to tackle challenges quickly and efficiently.
* Persuasive and smooth relationship builder with various stakeholders and customers.
* Strong skills in communication (oral and written Dutch and English), time management, analytical and problem-solving thinking.
* Know how to handle change. The site is in startup and constantly changing.
* Ability to work within strict deadlines while adapting to multiple tasks and priorities.
