What you will do
In this role, you design, build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers analytics and decision-making across business and technical teams. You will:
* Design, build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines.
* Develop and optimise data architectures in cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP).
* Build and manage data warehouses, lakes and integration flows.
* Write efficient, well-structured SQL and Python for data processing.
* Ensure data quality, consistency and reliability across systems.
* Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders to understand data needs.
* Monitor, troubleshoot and improve the performance of existing pipelines.
* Apply best practices for data governance, security and documentation.
* Stay up to date with new tools and technologies in the data engineering landscape.
Who you are
We look beyond the CV. For us, motivation and curiosity matter just as much as the technical box-ticking, but to thrive in this role, you'll likely recognise yourself in most of the following:
* A Master's degree.
* At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
* Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
* Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
* Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing and database design.
* Experience with orchestration tools (such as Airflow) and version control (Git) is a plus.
* A structured, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
* Fluency in Dutch, with proficiency in French as an advantage.
