Communication Expert Intranet Project (Freelance) Brussels, Belgium Freelance | Part-time ( 3 days/week) | Hybrid Start Date: 25 May 2026 Application Deadline: 17 May 2026 We are looking for an experienced Communication Expert to play a key role in the development of a new intranet platform within a large and dynamic media environment. In this role, you will act as the bridge between internal stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring employee needs are translated into clear, user-friendly, and future-proof digital solutions. You will contribute to creating an intranet that enhances collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Gather and analyse business and user needs across multiple departments Translate business requirements into functional specifications Act as a sparring partner for both business stakeholders and development teams Facilitate interviews and stakeholder discussions Monitor project scope, priorities, and quality throughout delivery Support the optimisation of digital workplace and intranet experiences Contribute to user-friendly and efficient communication solutions Work closely with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced project environment Required Experience & Skills Minimum 10 years' experience as a Communication Expert or similar role Minimum 3 years' experience in Business Analysis Experience with CMS systems Strong experience with intranet, portal, or website optimisation projects Bachelor's or Master's degree Excellent analytical and communication skills Ability to simplify and structure complex processes and requirements Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills Dutch proficiency at CEFR C2 level Nice to Have Experience with corporate, marketing, or product copywriting Experience creating or implementing internal communication plans Knowledge of digital communication trends, content marketing, and social media Experience with user experience (UX) design Candidate Profile Proactive, organised, and results-oriented Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams Strong in communication and stakeholder management Analytical with excellent attention to detail Able to start quickly and adapt to changing project needs Work Environment Hybrid working model with home-working possibilities Part-time freelance assignment (approximately 3 days per week) Initial 6-month engagement with possible extension High-visibility project with strong organisational impact If you are passionate about digital communication, intranet optimisation, and stakeholder collaboration, we would love to hear from you.
