For an upcoming project for a customer of ours, we are seeking a Data Integration Consultant who can help connect a Microsoft Fabric–based Data Lakehouse with several internal business applications.
This assignment involves a blend of data architecture, system integration, and application configuration within an environment that prioritises automation, stability, and clear documentation.
We are looking for someone who is technically strong but also enjoys contributing to solution design and end‑to‑end thinking.
Project Context
The goal is to ensure that approved absences and employee work schedules from the HR system are automatically transferred to the Data Lakehouse, and from there synchronised into the ERP platform.
The integration must run without manual intervention and support both daily and periodic updates.
Scope of Work
Building and configuring PowerApps to support data synchronisation
Setting up and managing dataflows within Microsoft Fabric / Data Lakehouse
Establishing integrations via API connections
Implementing synchronisation processes into a Dynamics 365 Business Central environment
Working within a predefined enterprise data architecture
Creating structured documentation in Confluence
Providing knowledge transfer to internal IT stakeholders
The setup will first be implemented in a test environment within Business Central and then deployed to production after validation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver integrations between multiple platforms
Configure pipelines and dataflows within Microsoft Fabric / Data Lakehouse
Build API‑based interfaces and connectors
Develop or configure PowerApps components
Apply existing data governance and architectural guidelines
Produce complete and accurate technical documentation
Support testing cycles and go‑live activities
Share expertise with internal teams at project handover
Must‑Have Skills
Proven expertise with Microsoft Fabric
Strong understanding of Data Lakehouse patterns (Medallion preferred)
Solid experience working with PowerApps
Hands‑on experience with API integrations and connectors
Background in data synchronisation across systems
Familiarity with modern BI / data platform environments
Ability to produce clear technical documentation
Nice to Have
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Knowledge of HR systems (e.g., AFAS or similar)
Experience with Power BI
Background in enterprise‑level data architecture
Familiarity with CI/CD practices for data solutions
