Role Summary:
A global logistics company is looking for a Business Development Manager with expertise in project logistics to help grow its operations across the Benelux, France and Switzerland. The role involves working with large and complex transport projects, including heavy and oversized cargo particularly for large-scale infrastructure, oil & gas, and reconstruction projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement business plans across European markets
* Manage new client outreach, contract discussions, and existing accounts
* Work with operations and engineering teams to create custom logistics solutions
* Find and follow up on new project opportunities in energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors
* Represent the company in meetings, events, and tender processes
* Keep track of market trends and competitor activity to support planning
What You'll Need:
* At least 7 years of experience in project logistics, heavy transport, or freight forwarding
* Experience in commercial roles with budget responsibility
* Good understanding of logistics rules and market conditions in Europe
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage complex logistics projects across multiple countries
* Fluent in English; Dutch and French are a strong advantage
* Willing to travel across Europe when needed
