Our client, a prominent institution in the education and research sector, is looking for a Lead Developer to drive the evolution of their web-based platforms. The role focuses on guiding a development team through technical challenges while maintaining hands‑on involvement in coding and architecture.
Responsibilities
Lead and coach a team of developers to ensure high-quality software delivery and professional growth.
Execute complex programming tasks including coding, testing, and debugging of web-based applications.
Drive the Agile development process and take a leading role in sprint ceremonies and planning.
Architect and maintain scalable systems using various Python and PHP frameworks.
Integrate web services and manage data flows between relational databases and APIs.
Translate business needs into technical specifications and solution designs.
Requirements
5+ years of backend development experience with Python, Django, Wagtail, and django-rest.
5+ years of backend development experience with PHP, Symfony, Laravel, and Drupal.
5+ years of frontend development experience using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies, including experience in a leading or coordinating role.
5+ years of experience with Relational Databases and Webservices including REST and SOAP.
You have experience with version control systems such as GIT and modeling with UML.
You possess strong leadership skills and experience coaching other developers.
You have an analytical mindset coupled with proactive problem-solving abilities.
You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.
Nice to Haves
5+ years experience in the education sector with a focus on digitizing and optimizing work processes.
Knowledge of Java or J2EE environments and relevant certifications.
