What You Will Do
* Translate strategic business needs into structured, scalable functional and technical designs.
* Lead the design of user interfaces, business logic, and database structures for new and existing applications.
* Coordinate and support developers, testers, and project leaders throughout delivery.
* Prepare and execute detailed functional test cases prior to production release.
* Review Cobol code and generate SQL queries for validation or troubleshooting.
* Anticipate potential risks and propose corrective actions proactively.
* Work across several concurrent projects while maintaining clear priorities and documentation.
What You Bring
* 10+ years of experience in functional or technical analysis within insurance or banking.
* Solid knowledge of Cobol MicroFocus, SQL Server, and batch processes in administrative or back-office systems.
* Proven track record translating complex business processes into IT solutions.
* Experience collaborating closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong analytical, structured, and pragmatic approach with excellent communication skills.
* Fluent in Dutch or French, with a good command of English.
* Bonus: knowledge of .NET, Agile or Waterfall methodologies, and architectural design principles.
