Our client is actively looking for a Functional Tester / Analyst (full time) to join the team in delivering a complete E2E solution to support Field Inspections & Maintenance Activities for field & back-office staff. This product is delivered within the functional domain of Asset Applications
The program covers field activities related to our gas network assets, such as Metering, GRID Maintenance, Third-Party Works, Cathodic Protection, Terminal etc. It integrates with many of our other systems such as SAP PM, geospatial asset management applications, information management systems etc.
Team Responsibilities
* Project Services: adapting the software product to fit requirements from corporate-wide projects.
* Product Enhancement: providing a software product that is fully adapted to the business needs by implementing new functionality requested by the business users.
* Product Support: Ensuring the continuity of the operations of the software product and providing support to the users of these applications.
* Product Maintenance: Ensuring the correct functioning of the software product: resolution of production problems and adaptation of the software product to a changed environment.
Candidate Responsibilities
The candidate will be asked to show interest in the functional domain of Asset Management and primarily assume all activities regarding functional & end-to-end testing. With a better understanding of the business, responsibilities can evolve into a more active role as a functional analyst with an ability to help assess the impact on the FIMA product.
* Review analysis deliverables (e.g. functional system specifications, business component interface specifications, …) of other analysts.
* Take charge of test preparations and execution.
* Create, organize & follow up the test plan in close interaction with the project manager and the business.
* Prepare and execute manual test scenarios while keeping an eye on test automation opportunities for the developers.
* Take ownership of specific parts like non-functional, exception flow testing and regression testing.
* Help elaborate the acceptance criteria used for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by the key users.
* Act as SPOC for all matters regarding end-to-end & functional testing after the development process and being the connection between the key users & the product team.
* Together with the project manager, define & challenge the test approach while balancing risk coverage, quality and timing aspects related to the delivery & maintenance of FIMA.
Future Candidate Responsibilities
* Provide support to end-users on production systems.
* Understand and challenge the needs of the customers in order to define requirements, give advice and propose the right orientation of the solution.
* Analyze functional/ business problems and choose the most appropriate solution in collaboration with the development team.
* Analyze business requirements and translate them to clear and concise user stories.
* Create functional system documentation using UML & BPMN-artifacts (use case diagrams, activity diagrams, information models…).
* Define an “action plan” to deliver user stories by helping the team to break down user stories into tasks and execute follow‑up on the implementation.
* Facilitate estimation and planning sessions.
* Assist in the redaction of user manual, release notes and possibly training to end users.
Timing
The start date of this mission is as soon as possible after a period of evaluation and procurement negotiation, typically 15 working days after the agreement between Fluxys and the supplier.
Place of mission
* Fluxys site is located in Anderlecht (Boulevard Industriel / Industrielaan). The candidate may be required to travel occasionally to the head office (1040 Brussels) and to other sites within Belgium where Fluxys offices and/or installations are located.

* Expertise in testing mobile applications, stability & stress testing.
* Analytical background: understand & challenge the needs of customers and formalize derived acceptance criteria.
* Experience providing support to end users.
* Fluency in the use of the following tools: Agile software development tools (e.g. Azure DevOps); UML modeling tools (e.g. Sparx Enterprise Architect); Documentation-communication tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, Confluence); UML, XML, JSON, SQL.
* Knowledge of a test methodology (TMap, STBox, ISTQB); risk-based testing; ISTQB certification is a plus.
* Knowledge of SAP PM (S/4HANA) is a further asset.
