Job Summary
The Senior European Intellectual Property Attorney will provide expert legal advice on intellectual property matters in the EMEA region. This role will counsel business leaders and technical associates on all IP-related issues to minimize legal and financial liabilities, protect corporate interests, and preserve assets.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage a team of in-house IP professionals and oversee patent application preparation and prosecution in EMEA.
* Conduct freedom-to-practice studies, analysis, and opinions regarding third-party IP rights in EMEA.
* Conduct and communicate competitive analysis of IP landscapes.
* Provide IP-related training for EMEA.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of experience in patent law, practicing before the European Patent Office (EPO) and nationally qualified as a patent attorney in any one of Great Britain, France, Germany, or the Netherlands.
Key Skills
* Drafting and prosecution of patent applications.
* Handling EPO oppositions and appeals.
* Excellent communication skills in English, with German and/or French desired.
* Qualified as European Patent Attorney.
