Job Title: Senior Test Specialist
A full-time freelance contract is available for a Senior Test Analyst to join a team in Brussels.
The role requires relocation to Belgium and obtaining EU Personal Security Clearance (EU Secret).
Role Overview
This position involves defining and coordinating test plans and cases, executing complex testing projects, and ensuring the quality and security of web applications in an international, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Define test plans and test cases for complex projects.
* Construct advanced test scenarios and scripts.
* Coordinate and execute tests, reporting results to stakeholders.
* Write and maintain application code for test scripting requirements.
* Assist in the deployment and configuration of testing tools.
* Prepare and manage test data, preferably with SQL databases.
* Produce clear and comprehensive reports on testing activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Advanced knowledge of testing technologies and tools, including Selenium, SoapUI, and NeoLoad.
* Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, Katalon, Robot Framework, Cucumber, and RFT.
* Proficient in preparing and writing test reports.
* Strong experience with development environments, including IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio, Eclipse, and NetBeans.
* Familiarity with RDBMS, including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQLite, and IBM Db2.
* Experience with test management tools, such as Zephyr, TestLink, Jira, and TestRail.
* Knowledge of defect tracking tools, including Bugzilla, Jira, Asana, ClickUp, and Redmine.
* Experience in test data preparation using SQL databases.
* Hands-on experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Familiarity with OWASP Top Ten and web application security best practices.
* Experience with Atlassian tools, GitHub, and ServiceNow.
* Understanding of project management and agile methodologies.
Qualifications
* At least 11 years of professional experience in testing and quality assurance.
* Secondary school diploma and at least one of the following certifications: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE), Certified Quality Assurance Professional (CQAP), or Certified Scrum Master.
* English language proficiency at C1 level or higher.
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Willingness to relocate to Belgium and work on-site at least 3 days per week.
* EU nationality and ability to obtain EU Personal Security Clearance (EU Secret) before assignment start.
