Your mission
This is an exciting opportunity to join the existing Member Services Team to be the primary point of contact for day-to-day membership matters, while playing a key role in driving new member acquisition and overall membership growth.
Growth is a key component of this role, with responsibility for increasing the total value of membership revenue, expanding the number of companies within membership, growing individual engagement within the network, and driving attendance at member events.
Membership Acquisition & Growth:
* Drive initiatives to attract new members and expand the WFA community.
* Develop and execute business development plans for member acquisition.
* Work closely with senior stakeholders to define membership offerings, contribute to sales strategy, and support the setting and achievement of membership sales targets.
MembershipEngagement&Communication:
* Actively listen to members, identify their needs, and provide relevant information.
* Offer details on membership fees, policies, processes, and services.
* Conduct engaging presentations to promote membership services.
* Recommend services to members and potential members.
* Respond to phone calls and written queries and concerns regarding membership.
* Assess member eligibility and process applications, and requests.
Account Management & Member Retention:
* Work collaboratively with the team to continue developing and implementing member retention strategies.
* Handle account management to ensure member satisfaction and engagement.
* Actively handle membership client accounts, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
* Investigate and resolve or escalate membership and payment issues.
* Contribute to business development strategies for member retention and growth.
Industry Events & representation:
* Represent WFA at relevant industry events, conferences, and meetings.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective members through effective networking.
* Deliver confident presentations and represent the WFA professionally.
* Travel and overnight stays may be required in line with business needs.
Departmental Development:
* Contribute to growing and developing the Membership Services department and the broader WFA membership strategy.
* Contribute to business development strategies for the department and overall membership growth.
* Generate reports and recommendations concerning marketing and sales strategies for senior management.
Systems, administration & operations:
* Manage the shared team inbox, ensuring timely responses and resolution of queries, diverting emails to relevant team members.
* Maintain accurate membership records within Asana.
* Maintain and update the WFA's online database/CRM.
* Process membership applications and update membership collateral.
* Refine and streamline administrative processes.
* Manage bespoke and mass membership communications.
* Undertake other membership administrative duties as required.
Your profile
* Proven experience in account management, membership, or customer relations roles.
* Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with confidence in commercial conversations both face-to-face and remotely. Membership or relevant industry experience within marketing/advertising industry.
* Project management experience, with the ability to take ownership and lead projects.
* Experience working in an international environment with diverse cultures and stakeholders.
* Strong partner and relationship management skills.
* Highly proactive, organised, and comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
