This role is part of the CDSO (Chief Development & Sustainability) Office that leads the implementation of our new 3-year strategic plan Elevate27. Within CDSO, Business Development Digital Platforms is responsible for the launch & scale up of next-generation distribution partnerships with digital platforms across priority markets in Europe and Asia. The central team is distributed across two locations: Belgium and Hong Kong – we will look for the best candidate in either one of these locations.

Your function
* Digital platforms product strategy design. Leads and implements the overall insurance product vision of the Digital platforms' initiative, defining insurance product strategy including blueprint of modular / customisable products, based on digital platform partners' customer reach. Develops the product roadmap tailored to priority platform verticals X customer journeys from concept to launch for selected partners and operating companies and identifies new opportunities. Delivers the prototype of the minimum viable product (MVP), as an enabler for early customer engagement. Priority digital platform verticals include Digital financial services incl. Banks, Telcos, E-commerce, Real estate and property management.
* Implements digital platforms' insurance product strategy. Builds the business case, creates, and steers the digital platforms cross-functional internal and external stakeholders (product, analytics, actuarial, UX, engineering, legal, tech), monitors performance indicators, anticipates, mitigates, and solves issues to ensure effective project implementation in collaboration with the Partnership manager, Tech Director and Growth Hacker. This function will also provide quarterly/ad hoc reporting to Steering Committee and Business Committee.
* Product Owner. Owns the life and non-life products, product templates and other related assets developed on the Group platform. In collaboration with the Tech Director, ensures those assets on the platform are fit for exploration, analysis and eventually implementation by any Ageas operating company, i.e. come with complete and up-to-date documentation, APIs, etc.
* Drives product innovation, turning data insights into insurance products with actionable outcomes to the ultimate end customer via embedded, end-to-end digital or hybrid customer journeys. Provides advice to Opcos on transforming traditional insurance products to innovative products adapted to the digital platforms and customer journey context.
* Prepares proposals for driving data- and metrics-driven business decisions delivering the desired profitability for the digital platforms' initiative.
* Continuously explores the business needs, and the optimal way to leverage and integrate seamlessly with partner's value proposition and customer journeys, monitoring product & proposition performance, refining priorities, and outlining product milestones & deliverables.
* Advice / ad-hoc research capacity. Conducts quantitative and qualitative research and analyses and presents conclusions on important business critical topics. Leverages the power of an excellent internal network (knowledge of experts, projects) as well as a broad external network (academies, consultants, service suppliers, …) to facilitate this.
* Knowledge Sharing & Transfer. Identifies best practices in product & proposition development within operating companies or outside of Ageas. Monitors key product & proposition development initiatives and shares relevant outcome.
* Facilitates implementation of these best practices across the companies, to optimise the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency in realising strategic growth objectives.
* Reports to the Business Development Director, with functional reporting line to the Regional Director Tech & Digital (if HK location).
Your profile
Must have [minimum 4]:

* Master's degree (actuarial, data science, other quantitative)
* 5+ years of relevant working experience
* Confident skills in building/pricing insurance products in regulated markets (actuary, product development, underwriting, digital marketing, data analytics), hands on experience with different project management frameworks (waterfall, Agile)
* Available and eligible to work in Brussels or Hong Kong, or at least willing to relocate
Should [minimum 3]:

o Strong communicator who understands the difficulties of leading change and is culturally aware
* A high degree of user empathy and actively seek to test, learn, and iterate based on user feedback
* Relevant experience working in an international context with a knowledge of a range of current cross-platform product development frameworks
* Demonstrated track record of execution on product launches in B2B and/or B2B2C context, support of sales teams and partnership with various stakeholders
Could [minimum 2]:
* Proven experience or affinity in one of the following sectors: e-commerce platforms, digital marketplaces, Insurtech/fintech, neo banks & payments
* Knowledge of the international insurance business and the financials & key drivers of profitability is a plus
* Senior professional with the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms
* Proven track record of taking ideas and bringing them to life
