IBA Industrial is the market leader for end-to-end electron and X-Ray solutions for different applications, ranging from medical sterilization to food irradiation, or to radio-isotope production. Our solutions are typically composed of a high energy electron accelerator, the Rhodotron, a product conveying system and automation, and a process control system to oversee the irradiation process and provide reporting.
Your Mission: As Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the product development of our product handling systems (PHS) within our solutions, focusing both on conveyors and adjacent automation such as (de)palletizing and wrapping. You will additionally lead cross-functional strategic programs that aim to achieve new product attributes for our integrated solutions.
Challenges we trust you with: As part of your product handling systems scope:
* Define, together with our value product managers, the strategy for the Product Handling System, and execute the roadmap accordingly
* Translate our high-level product needs for your scope into technical user requirement specifications
* Drive the development of new features and projects relating to the PHS, working together closely with R&D through our product gate process
* Ensure the successful deployment of new features on site and steer the development accordingly
* Define the standard product offering for your scope, and propose and validate customized solutions
* Develop and implement best-in-class supplier management practices, driving effective collaboration with third parties through a fact-based approach focused on clear objectives, KPIs, and corrective actions
* Identify risk and opportunities for IP and address those in collaboration with R&D (freedom to operate & opportunities for patent application)
As part of your strategic program management role:
* Lead the program definition stage: from setting the strategic ambition to developing the roadmap to achieve it – working closely with our value product managers, R&D program managers and select other stakeholders
* Evaluate the performance of your program, across initiatives, and take actions accordingly by coordinating and influencing cross-functional teams
* Support marketing with regards to your program ambition, roadmap and status
What We Value: We are looking for a candidate with a
* Master’s degree in engineering or science, or a business background with a strong interest for technologies and industrial fields
* Min. 5 years experience in product or program management, ideally in a similar industry
* Prior experience in conveyors is a strong plus
* Demonstrated and natural leadership and structuring capabilities
* Excellent communication, assertiveness and influencing skills, with internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to identify and develop a strategic & compelling vision of the product’s future potential
* Solid technical knowledge of the different products including field/hands-on experience, and the ability to rapidly understand newly presented information

* A team player, able to create relationships and influence at all levels, and to work autonomously according to priorities and in a structured manner
* A customer-oriented person with excellent interpersonal communication skills including presentation of ideas
* Fluent written & spoken English
* Flexible, pragmatic, and rigorous
* A proactive person willing to take initiatives
Travel: Ready and flexible to travel if needed, up to 20% of the time.
