POSITION SUMMARY

The Training & Education Consultant supports the Acute Care (Operating Room) business across EMEA by designing, delivering, and advising on high‑quality clinical education and training initiatives for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and internal commercial teams.

Acting as a regional clinical education expert, the Consultant contributes to the development and execution of priority education programs that support product adoption, clinical best practice, and commercial enablement. The role focuses on hands‑on delivery, content expertise, and clinical advisory input, working in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales Excellence, Product Management, and Regulatory teams.

This position requires strong Operating Room clinical experience and the ability to translate clinical practice into practical, compliant, and engaging education across live, virtual, and digital formats.

The Consultant operates within an agreed scope of work and prioritization framework defined with EMEA Marketing and relevant stakeholders.

Core clinical competency areas include:

* Application of perioperative clinical standards, guidelines, and terminology
* Understanding of Acute Care / OR product usage and clinical differentiation
* Translation of clinical evidence into practical training and value‑based messaging


Expected duration is until the end of 2026 and can be performed full-time or part-time. Preferred locations: Belgium / DACH / The Netherlands.


1. Education Strategy Leadership

* Define and execute the EMEA Acute Care Education Strategy aligned with commercial and corporate priorities
* Conduct recurring training needs assessments to inform annual and quarterly education plans
* Build structured learning pathways across on‑site, virtual, hybrid, digital, and multimedia formats
* Focus on measurable education outcomes, such as adoption, capability uplift, and feedback from HCPs and internal teams


2. HCP Education Development & Delivery

* Design and deliver clinical education programs for HCPs, including:

- Procedure‑based and competency‑focused training

- Product application, correct usage, and adoption workshops

* Deliver in‑person and virtual trainings, workshops, and webinars across EMEA (priority markets)
* Collaborate with KOLs and clinical experts to support high‑quality educational experiences
* Ensure all education content is evidence‑based, non‑promotional, and compliant with Regulatory and QARA requirements


3. Internal Training & Sales Enablement

* Support the development and delivery of Acute Care clinical training for commercial teams
* Contribute to onboarding sessions, product updates, and refresher trainings
* Participate in regional sales meetings and enablement events as a clinical expert
* Support documentation and training records in line with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 requirements


4. Digital Education & Content Contribution

* Contribute to the creation of digital learning resources (presentations, clinical modules, short videos)
* Participate in the development of short educational videos on surgical draping and OR practices, in collaboration with Marketing
* Review education and promotional materials for clinical accuracy and appropriateness
* Support maintenance of a compliant education content library (input and review rather than full ownership)


5. Product & Clinical Advisory Support

* Provide clinical input to Product Management on:

- New product concepts and line extensions

- Usability, workflow integration, and unmet OR needs

* Support definition and validation of clinical use cases and value propositions
* Contribute to clinical evaluations, pilots, or field feedback collection where applicable
* Support translation of clinical evidence into compliant educational and commercial content


6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

* Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Excellence, Product Management, Regulatory, QARA, and external clinical experts
* Support engagement with professional organizations and scientific societies as needed for education initiatives


7. Training Events & Field Presence

* Support execution of a regional education and training calendar
* Participate on‑site at congresses, workshops, and hands‑on training sessions where required


KEY DECISION RIGHTS

* Accountability for proposing and leading the EMEA Acute Care Education Strategy and annual/quarterly plans, in alignment with internal stakeholders
* Clinical and educational authority over recommended content, formats, and delivery methods, with final validation retained internally
* Selection and recommendation of KOLs and faculty for internal and external educational activities


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education & Background

* Degree in Nursing or equivalent clinical qualification mandatory
* Solid hands‑on understanding of the Operating Room environment, workflows, and perioperative practices
* Experience in Clinical Education, Training, or Medical Education within the medical device or healthcare sector
* Perioperative certification (e.g. CNOR or equivalent) considered an advantage


Technical & Professional Skills

* Proven experience developing and delivering education programs for HCPs and/or commercial teams
* Experience with virtual education, webinars, and digital learning tools
* Knowledge of adult learning principles and competency‑based training
* Strong program management, organizational, and analytical skills


Communication & Collaboration

* Strong facilitation and presentation skills; able to simplify complex clinical topics
* Ability to work effectively across multiple countries and cultures
* Fluent English required; German and/or Dutch strongly preferred


Behavioral & Leadership Capabilities

* Self‑directed and effective in a consultant / matrix environment
* Collaborative, pragmatic, and solution‑oriented
* Comfortable guiding learners through skill development and applied learning
* Confident using clinical tools, digital modules, and training resources
* Ability to communicate clinical differentiators clearly and credibly to support education and product adoption


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

* Willingness to travel up to 40–50%, depending on location and event schedule
* Full adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 frameworks
* Compliance with all policies related to HCP interactions and education
