Corporate Communication - Social Media Officer

As Social Media Officer, you contribute to the Degroof Petercam brand identity and reputation. You implement a social media strategy aligned to our corporate goals, create, manage, and grow our presence across social media channels to gain strategic visibility.
Responsibilities
* Content Development: Develop and manage an editorial calendar and campaigns to drive engagement on expertise, corporate, employer branding related topics.
* Graphics & Design: Design and optimize graphics tailored for each platform (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), develop creative assets for digital media, maintain brand consistency, collaborate with content teams.
* Curated Content: Curate, manage and share content of interest to members.
* Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date with social media design trends, platform updates, and audience preferences.
* Engagement: Monitor, moderate, respond to and escalation of community activity; facilitate onboarding of new users and connections; promote ideal member behavior and ambassadorship.
* Community Management: Identify user needs and help design communities reaching their purposes; identify ambassadors and train internal stakeholders; gather and analyse feedback.
* Technical Feedback: Manage and administer social platforms and tools; analyze new features and recommend social media tools.
* Brand & Creative Strategy: Contribute creative ideas for campaigns and new content formats; ensure all designs align with the company’s brand identity and visibility goals.
* Video Production: Create, edit, and optimize short‑form and long‑form video content for social platforms; add motion graphics, captions, transitions, and effects to enhance storytelling.
* Skills: Engagement and people skills to foster relationships; content development skills for multi‑modal content; strategic and business skills for program management; technical skills for platform architecture and analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 2+ years of experience in social media, preferably in a graphic design environment.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or equivalent tools (Canva, Figma, CapCut, etc.).
* Strong understanding of social media content best practices, trends and tools (Amazing content, Brandwatch).
* Experience with video editing, motion graphics, visual storytelling, typography, and layout skills.
* Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
* Full fluency in Dutch, French, and English.
* Self‑management: results focus, stress resistance.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
