Automation Software Engineer (Siemens)
(Ghent area), Belgium
* Develop and implement automation solutions across industrial projects
* Program and configure:
* PLCs (Siemens TIA Portal / PCS 7)
* Motion control systems (gearing, camming)
* Drives (Siemens, SEW, Danfoss)
* HMI / SCADA systems
* Lead or contribute to machine start-up and commissioning on-site
* Support revamp projects and optimisation of existing production lines
* Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
* Automation / Electrical Engineering / Electromechanics
* 3–10+ years experience in industrial automation software
* Strong experience with:
* Motion control (gearing, camming)
* PLC programming and industrial software
* Experience with drives (Siemens, SEW, Danfoss)
* Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach
* SCADA knowledge
* Experience in machine building or system integration
* Fluent Dutch (essential)
* Basic French is a plus
