Civil Engineer – NL & FR – ALTEN Belgium
The Position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects in Belgium.
As a Civil Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
* Developing technical solutions during the design phase
* Providing input for project budgets and schedules
* Managing, coordinating, checking, and following up on permit and execution studies, including environmental studies, stability studies of civil structures, and the preparation of architectural and execution plans
* Informing designers during the detailed design phase about the technical project requirements to ensure correct scope execution
* Managing and monitoring external study partners
* Preparing technical procurement files for contractor tendering
* Providing technical support during the tendering and execution phases of the project
* Ensuring the quality of civil engineering studies
* Collecting feedback and organizing evaluations after completed studies to ensure continuous quality improvement
* Coordinating and reporting to the multidisciplinary project team
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
* Fluency in Dutch with a good command of French
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
* High attention to quality and detail
* Affinity with civil engineering techniques, geotechnics, and knowledge of stability calculations
* Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
* Proactive and solution-oriented, able to propose alternatives to ensure project progress
