Now that’s an opportunity to really make a difference. /ph3What you’ll learn and do /h3pPwC Legal is looking for an experienced tax lawyer to strengthen its Tax Litigation and Tax Dispute Resolution department for the Brussels office. You’ll be part of a team focussing on preventing and resolving tax disputes with federal, regional, local, and foreign tax authorities. A tax controversy may involve a business (whether for-profit or not-for-profit), trust, estate, or individual, and can result from any kind of taxation (direct taxes as well as indirect taxes, local taxes, crossborder aspects of taxes,...). The team is providing services throughout the tax dispute lifecycle such as : /ppDeveloping local/global coordinated dispute resolution and litigation strategies, making use of national legislation, EU law and the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union. /ppAssist with voluntary disclosures. /ppAssist clients during (domestic and multilateral) audits, internationale exchange of information, specific investigations and raids. /ppAssist with administrative appeals and settlement discussions through negotiation with authorities and mediation and arbitration procedures. /ppDefend client’s interests in the national and international courts. /ppAdvise clients with respect to recovery matters and criminal liability questions. /ppAs a Tax Litigation lawyer, you will offer our clients an extensive range of services (legal advice, policy drafting, litigation etc.). /ph3Who you are or you have /h3pBelgian master’s degree in Law, with a specialization in tax law, a special interest in international tax matters and in the jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice. /pp4-6 years of experience in the tax litigation department of a law firm and/or a similar experience. /ppExperience in handling litigation and disputes. /ppListed as a lawyer at the bar with the traineeship accomplished. /ppA client-oriented attitude and team player; you are highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual who likes to take initiatives. /ppFluent language skills in Dutch and English, French is a plus. /ph3What we offer /h3pWe offer you a unique and challenging position.
