EU Policy and Advocacy Advisor (M/F/D)
Mission of the role
The successful candidate will be part of a political monitoring unit and help ensure close connection with the evolving EU policy agenda.
Key responsibilities
* Research and monitor EU institutions, industry associations, NGOs, think tanks, and agencies.
* Attend and report on policy conferences and public meetings of EU institutions (Council, European Parliament committees, Commission events, etc.).
* Draft reports and briefings on EU policy developments.
* Support the communication of political developments and provide advice to internal members.
* Manage digital tools to inform colleagues and members of policy updates.
* Advise on EU policies and legislative procedures.
* Monitor relevant topics in EU policy media.
* Assist in the organisation of policy events (conferences, workshops, etc.).
* Contribute to outreach activities with EU stakeholders (Commission, Council, Parliament).
Candidate profile
* University degree, preferably in law, political sciences, chemistry, or chemical engineering.
* Minimum of 1 year’s prior experience within the Council, Parliament, Commission, or a Public Affairs role.
* Fluent in English and at least one other EU official language.
* Strong understanding of EU procedures and institutional framework.
* Ability to synthesise and communicate complex issues clearly and concisely.
* Proficient in MS Office, with a good grasp of social media channels.
* Cooperative, flexible, and eager to learn.
* Accurate, detail-oriented, and diligent in research.
* Enthusiastic about EU public affairs.
