Core Responsibilities
Technology Strategy and Innovation
1. Formulate medium- to long-term development plans for optical inspection technologies, identifying disruptive technology directions (e.g., EUV lithography-compatible inspection, multi-spectral imaging, AI-driven optical modeling).
2. Lead the design of cutting-edge optical systems (e.g., interferometers, scatterometers, confocal microscopes) to optimize resolution, signal-to-noise ratio, and anti-interference capabilities. Drive interdisciplinary integration of optics with electronics, materials, and algorithms to address measurement bottlenecks in advanced semiconductor processes (≤3nm).
R&D and Project Management
1. Lead the end-to-end development of optical modules from conceptual design to mass production, ensuring technical specifications meet customer requirements.
2. Manage high-risk technical projects, coordinate global R&D resources, and ensure timely delivery and cost control.
3. Establish optical simulation and experimental verification systems to shorten development cycles and enhance product reliability.
4. Analyze market trends, predict the impact of optical technologies on semiconductor industry costs and yields, and provide strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
Educational Background
1. Ph.D. in Optical Engineering, Physical Optics, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in semiconductor metrology and inspection.
2. Published relevant papers in academic journals (e.g., Optics Express, Nature Photonics) or holds international patents.
Technical Competencies
1. Proficient in optical system design (e.g., Zemax, CodeV simulation), laser technology, spectral analysis, and nanoscale imaging techniques.
2. Familiar with semiconductor processes (lithography, etching, thin-film deposition) and metrology/inspection equipment (e.g., KLA, ASML products).
3. Skilled in optical algorithm development using Python/MATLAB. Experience in applying AI to optical inspection is preferred.
